Day 3 Copehagen....OFF to the ship.

Image
We met this morning for breakfast/coffee with Aussie friends, Brendan and Rob.  I initially met them on our South American Cruise in Jan/Feb 2009, sailed the Med with them in October/November 2009.  And sailed again with them in January 2012, as they were coming to the US. What a surprise to find that they were going to be sailing from Copenhagen on the 23rd.  After checking our itineraries, we found that the only time we had together was the morning of the 22nd in Copenhagen. After a WONDERFUL get together, we parted.  Us to our ship and them to explore the city, leaving from Copenhagen tomorrow Vision of the Seas is one of the smaller of the RCI classes.  Only 1900 passengers.  Seems like a small group but as there wasn't an empty room anywhere, we certainly felt the crowding.

Arrived

Well we got off to a GOOD START.  We are "locked and loaded" and I sure like that version of the phrase better that what it offered by Mr. Trump. Our flight was thankfully uneventful.   Our airport experience was also uneventful.  Long lines for 'passport' verification but that was it.   No declarations, no inspections.  But somewhere, we misplaced a bag.  Our fault not the airlines.  Not much of value in the bag except for our camera.  Arriving, after a very sleepless night, in Copenhagen, we were greeted by the Gay Pride Parade.  It was long and right thru the middle of the city where our hotel was located.  Our cab driver couldn't get thru so we had to walk and schlep our luggage. The loss will be felt in our inability to take a lot of pix.  The cost of EVERYTHING in Denmark is very high so we will not try to replace it Arriving at our roo m on the 16th floor we were delighted by the view....
